Back in 1996 roasting and blending coffee was on one hand, a serious exploration of taste and on the other, something akin to pulling levers blindfolded at Willie Wonka’s. It was exciting & adventurous and full of unlimited inspiration for certain, but only occasionally did those early years result in something to treasure beyond the moment of discovery. Our North Rim blend is the result of one such exploration of luck. And it remains one of our crowned jewels.
Seriously, we’ve been roasting up our North Rim blend every week of every year since 1996 when we stumbled on this wonderful combination of coffees at a very dark roast. The roast is intensely aromatic with a punchy, spicy flavor but it’s still a smooth cup. The finish is crisp and clean, and the whole thing eases you into the easy chair when you add a splash of 1/2 & 1/2.
